I received an email from Shopify, how does the Checkout and Thank You page updates impact Elevar?

Elevar is the preferred Shopify Plus partner for conversion tracking with the Checkout Extensibility update. We highly recommend you begin using our Custom Pixel script by upgrading your Shopify source, to ensure the Order Identifiers continue to be passed in the client-side dl_purchase.

What happens if I don't update by the deadline?

Any tracking in your checkout.liquid will no longer fire on your Thank You/Order Status pages. Any tracking in your Order Status Page additional scripts will no longer fire on your Thank You/Order Status pages. Any apps using Shopify’s ScriptTag will no longer work as intended.

How does Elevar ensure tracking accuracy?

Elevar loads Google Tag Manager and will fire checkout datalayer events via Customer Events Setting for you, ensuring no data is missed. Plus, Elevar enables the ability to differentiate First Subscription vs One-Time orders and New vs Returning users.

What if I have code that lives in the Order Status Page Scripts or checkout.liquid?
